Northbridge United’s run has been less aboutsystem than momentum. Three wins in four, seven goals scored, and a striker in the form of his life.
James Thornton has started every match and finished three of them with a goal. His movement — dropping between the lines before arriving late in the box — has made the Northbridge midfield unusually difficult to defend.
A partnership that has clicked
Thornton and Daniel Okafor have shared every minute together. Okafor’s distribution has repeatedly found the forward before the back line could reset, and the pair have combined for four goals in that span.
The manager was careful afterwards. "We take the next one as it comes," he said. "Nobody here is settling for a good month."
