Northbridge United moved top of the table with a statement performance, thrashing Eastvale City 2-1 at Northbridge Park in front of a loud home crowd.
Eastvale had the better of the opening fifteen minutes, but a defensive misjudgement was punished almost immediately and the game turned. A second goal before the interval made the arithmetic straightforward.
Eastvale rally, but too late
Carlos Mendez pulled one back with twenty minutes remaining and Westfield Athletic pushed forward, but Northbridge’s shape held and the final whistle arrived without further incident.
